Meet the Artist...
A stone cottage, nestled on the tip of Big Bay Point near the shores of beautiful Lake Simcoe, Ontario, has been my home since the summer of 1989.
My formal art training began at Durham College, Oshawa. However, the day after graduation... I promptly discarded any notion of a rewarding career in Graphic Design.
A combination of graphite portraiture, oil painting, photography and computer graphics completed a creative circle, prompting my journey into photo restoration, retouching and the digital arts.
Archival family and historical photos are among my favourites to restore and retouch. Future plans include investigating the fascinating world of forensic reconstruction.
Creative energy has always been the motivating factor in my life. Poetry, oil painting, graphite portraiture, videography, photography and computer graphics are my constant companions. My computer, Herc, is my best friend.
The digital canvas, now the mainstay of my painterly activities, allows me to enjoy the "happy accidents" unique to the delicate world of watercolour. It also affords me the freedom to correct an overly zealous brush stroke.
I take great pride in my art. It is my sincere hope that my work will provide you with many years of enjoyment... creating a smile in your spirit each time you cast a glance toward it.
